Threats to vital state tax credit programs have emerged regularly every year since the Historic Tax Credit was implemented in 1998.  This session has been no different and as in past years, the Coalition has been there to monitor legislation, communicate with key legislators, and ultimately to prevent the passage of bills that would sunset or cap programs that have driven so much revitalization in our state.  We are funded by a statewide cross section of developers, construction and trades professionals, architects, financial institutions and a variety of individuals who value historic preservation and the tool to make it possible.  Without the financial support of everyone who understands the critical importance of the Historic and other tax credit programs, we will not be able to continue our efforts to preserve and protect them.
